Planning Board approves major building project at Westfield Montgomery mall

The Montgomery County Planning Board on Thursday approved a major building project at the Westfield Montgomery mall in Bethesda that will yield nearly 3 million square feet of development.

The Planning Board unanimously approved the plans, which were first announced in the fall of 2018. The plans include 2.9 million square feet of new retail space and 717 residences.
